Meet the man with the plan, the one who started this whole little place we call a hair saloon.

 

Frankie’s been cutting for over a decade from the trenches of hair school to working in barbershops from the West Island all the way across the pond in Australia.

 

“It’s always been about creating a space for everyone to look and feel their best. It’s never easy to find somewhere where you feel comfortable whether it’s about the quality of service or simply just about being yourself. Here we try to embody the idea of a saloon, where it’s a gathering place for everyone.”

As described in her own words, Marie has several wolves inside her. One of them is an artist, and another likes to make people feel good; these two are very fulfilled by the craft of hairdressing and barbering.

 

With only one year under her belt yet a lifetime of experience brought into the mix she brings her endless curiosity and passion for hair and people behind the chair. Book her for a cut and colour, and chat as a bonus!

 

“I consider myself very much at the intersection of barbering and hairdressing. The truth is I like variety: classic timeless haircuts and creative ones alike; long and short hair; traditional or funky colours. At the end of the day what I like is hair, people and making them feel good about their hair.”

Our resident DJ, loudest personality and definitely a wunderkind Shane is someone who will stand out wherever he goes.

 

For someone with 5 years experience you’d think he’s been doing it a lifetime. Guaranteed to make you cry with laughter and leave with a mountain of confidence, you’ll never be bummed to book with Shane.

“I’ve been cutting hair for 5 years and have fallen head over heels for this craft along the way. I love getting to shoot the shit all day, spilling my tea and filling my cup with yours, as well as getting to keep my hands and mega ADHD brain busy all day. I consider myself as more of a barber, I do a lot of short hair. Love me a good skin fade, lazer lineup and a hot shave, however I get really inspired by fun funky punky and textured haircuts like a nice soft mullet or pixie cut as well as getting a little longer with more shaggy and wolfy styles. Come by, say hi, have a coffee and damn good haircut. <3”

Self described as an ‘elder emo’, Sky definitely shows his California roots with his style and self expression.

 

A big nerd who loves to play video games, he’s also quite the nerd when it comes to hair. He’s got 10 years under his belt first starting out as a hairdresser and then transitioning over to barbering, the learning never stops. All are welcome in his chair, and you’ll feel right at home. 

 

“As someone who is apart of the lgbtq+ community I wanted to create a safe space for people to come and enjoy their time in my chair. I absolutely love cutting edgy textured haircuts mixing both my background in hairdressing and barbering into one. While you’re here we can nerd out together, talk about video games and/or horror movies. I’m a big goofball who loves to laugh and joke around.”

Josh is another hair school graduate gone to focus on barbering over the years.

 

He’s been doing this for over 10 years, and when you sit in his chair you can feel that he’s there for you to have a good time. A very attentive haircutter, you’ll know you’re in the right place.

 

“With 11 years behind the chair, I’m still obsessed with the craft. Inspired by punk and metal culture, I love dialing in alternative styles and helping people discover a look they didn’t know they could rock – but I’m just as happy keeping it clean, classic and timeless.

 

This shop is built on self-expression and respect. I’m here to create a space, where you feel comfortable, heard, and leave with a cut that feels like you :)”
