Casse-Tête offers haircuts, beard grooming, styling, touch ups, creative color, and alternative hairdressing services for men, women, non-binary and trans clients.

We are located in the Sud Ouest area of Montreal, in Verdun on Wellington Street.  We are easily accessible by metro and by car.

Walk-ins are welcome when possible, but appointments are recommended to secure your preferred time.

You can book online through our booking link, call the salon or visit us in person. Online booking is the fastest way to reserve your spot.

Yes. Casse-Tête is an inclusive salon offering haircuts and grooming services for men, women, non-binary and trans clients. All styles and identities are welcome.

An alternative haircut is a non-traditional hairstyle that expresses individuality. This can include shags, mullets, edgy bobs, creative color placements, asymmetrical cuts and textured or artistic styles.

Yes. We specialize in alternative hairdressing, creative cuts, modern transformations, short masculine hairstyles and bold beard styling.

Yes. Our barbers provide professional beard trims, shaping and short beard styling. We are known for precise line work and clean finishing.

We offer fades, short textured cuts, long layers, mullets, shags and creative styles. Our barbers work with all hair types and textures. We also provide everything from soft layers and blunt cuts to bold creative styles, color transformations and alternative haircuts.

We primarily serve Sud-Ouest Montreal including Saint-Henri, Little Burgundy, Pointe-Saint-Charles, Griffintown and Verdun, but clients visit us from all over the city.

Yes. Our services are priced based on time and technique rather than gender.

Most services take 30 to 60 minutes depending on hair length, style complexity and finishing work.

Yes, when available. Check our online booking platform for last-minute openings.

Yes. Our barbers and stylists are comfortable working with straight, wavy, curly and coily hair types.

We accept major credit cards, debit and Google Pay.

Yes. We are near several bus routes and close to the De l'Église metro station on the green line.

We have 24h cancellation policy, if ever you need to cancel or change your booking we need 24 hour notice. If you cancel your appointment the day of, you will be charged 50% of your missed appointment.If you're running late, please call the shop.  If you arrive more than 15 minutes late or do not show whatsoever, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment as we no longer have adequate time to do our job. In the event of this, you will be charged 100% of the appointment at your next booking.  That said, we totally understand that life happens and some things are out of your control. Communication goes a long way. Let us know the situation, if it’s not a regular occurrence we’re happy to adjust.

Yes. We offer consultations to help you plan your look, understand your hair goals and choose the right style for you.

Yes. We offer styling services for events, photoshoots and special occasions.
